VIVEKA AROGYA PROGRAM

The program envisages funding the medical and hospital treatment expenses for poor students studying at schools. 

 

So far three poor students, whose parents could not afford the treatment cost of their wards have benefited from this initiative

 

Chi. S Devika aged 8 years of GHPS, Nagnatha who had a diagnoised condition of hole in the heart got benefitted from admission and operationat Sri Jayadeva Hospital, Bengaluru and has recovered and attending the school normally.

 

Master  Noothan aged 8 years of GHPS, Shagya suffered a leg deformity at ankle through an accidental fall. He was referred and opearated at IGICH, Bengaluru and has recovered and attending school normally. The doctors have suggested another operation to completely rectify the deformity.

 

Master Sudeep aged 5 years of Gowtham School, Hanur had defects at birth, affecting eye sight, nerve coordination problems. The boy was referred to Shankar eye hospital who prescribed medicines to help rectification of vision defects and better coordination.

 

All the above cases were referred by teachers of Schools to VSS and were those in which the wards could not afford the operation costs amounting to few lakhs.

 

In all the above cases Vidyashala Alumni who work at / manage these hospitals helped the patients to get appropriate, timely care.
